Leslie Betters, LPC
Therapist
I am passionate about working collaboratively with individuals to provide them opportunities to gain new perspectives, learn healthy coping strategies, increase self-compassion, and build healthier relationships with others. For that reason, I adopt a trauma-informed and person centered approach which provide you the opportunity to fully explore individualized therapeutic goals at your own pace. As your therapist, I will always make an effort to provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental environment for you to have the appropriate support you need on your journey through treatment in order to find meaningful enjoyment in life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Connecticut and a nationally board certified counselor. My therapeutic skillsets are drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness based interventions, and Person Centered techniques. Additionally, I adopt techniques from Seeking Safety and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I have extensive experience providing treatment for: mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and anger management. I have worked with many individuals addressing LGBTQIA+ needs, life transitions, family dynamics, self-exploration, skill deficits, and many other issues. Ultimately, my goal is to provide you with a supportive atmosphere to address your personal goals and feel confident moving forward in your life.
