Director of Clinical Services
Throughout the course of our lives, there are many experiences that we go through. Some of these are full of joy and leave us looking back with fondness. Other memories and moments that we have can be painful and it is helpful to have someone in our lives who can share these experiences with us and help work through them. I would like to be the therapist who is able to share those thoughts and memories with you and be part of this journey with you.
As a clinical social worker, I believe in helping clients collaboratively work through the course of their treatment. I have experience using many different approaches to be able to meet each client’s needs. I have had extensive history working with clients with trauma histories, ADHD, behavioral concerns, depression, suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors, anxiety, gender identity concerns, challenges in the school system and a variety of other challenges. I believe that it is important to be partners while working toward your goals.
I have used trauma informed care while working with children and adolescents, with also using DBT and CBT approaches to support in empowering them. Along with working with the client, I think it is important to also work with the family system to be able to achieve goals within the household. My hope is that by attending therapy that each client will be able to gain the tools to feel confident in advocating for their needs, cope with their emotions, and be able to process their thoughts and feelings.
