Congratulations! By taking the time to research therapy options, you are already making a huge step towards addressing your mental health concerns. Over my years of education and work experience, I have found that the best way to assist my clients is by addressing one presenting problem at a time. My focus over the course of our first three sessions together will include successful introductions, a short intake assessment, followed by treatment goal solidification. Once that is completed, we will work as a team and take as long as necessary to make progress. All I ask in return is the desire to make a change.

I have spent the majority of my career working with adolescents and young adults. I tend to explore post-modern therapy styles, including narrative therapy, where the client becomes the author of their own stories, or solution-focused therapy. I have also practiced DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing strategies over the years.

The truth is, therapy does not have to rely solely on evidence-based practice or well-known interventions. We can always create a toolbox that includes a variety of strategies for you to utilize. I prefer not to put a time limit on therapy as well. I am willing to work with clients for a few months or multiple years if necessary.
