Julie empowers clients to manage life's stressors, overcome challenges, and establish healthy behaviors, collaborating with individuals ages 15 + to create change in a shared and warm therapeutic environment. Her experience encompasses in-depth mental health services for clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, sexual assaults crisis, domestic violence, and substance recovery.
For over 20 years, Julie has worked with people on parole, probation and referred from the court. Her experience is diverse, having served as a resource to help people in domestic violence situations, social justice programs as well as being an adult advocate for the Sexual Assault Crisis Service in New Britain for five years.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Hartford and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. Julie Tedesco is the author of Now I Get It: Inspirations for Life, "I have always loved quotes and images. They help me make sense of the world - frequently nodding my head ah, now I get it. I thought that by sharing some of my favorite quotes, maybe I could help change a thought, an outlook, or make someone's life a bit easier."
In her spare time, you can find her walking or exploring a new hiking trail, spending time with her friends, family and her two adorable pups or planning fabulous get togethers.
