Tiffany Nieves, APRN

Medication Provider

I am a bilingual, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner fluent in English and
Spanish. I have over six years of experience as an inpatient psychiatric nurse and a year of
emergency medicine. I have worked at UConn Health, Manchester Memorial, and Rockville
General. I have experience working with adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations. I graduated
from Goodwin University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and entered Goodwin’s
University psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program shortly after.
My interests are in providing therapeutic care to children, adolescents, and young adults.
In being bilingual, I strive to provide culturally competent care to the Latino community
(Spanish-speaking youth/adults). Health disparities continue to remain a rising issue among the
Hispanic population. My goals are to provide patient-centered care and to act as a patient
advocate for my patients so they can achieve the best possible outcomes. I will work with other
providers, therapists, or school employees/teachers to meet these outcomes/goals. Psychotherapy
plays a crucial factor in the stabilization of mental health; it is critical to remember that
medications do not solve past trauma or relationships but are available to assist in the overall
restorative process.
