Courtney Philcox, LPC

Therapist

My passion has always been to work with individuals to increase their overall happiness, build upon their strengths, and encourage them to never give up on their goals and dreams. Life can come with many challenges and roadblocks on the path to our success and satisfaction. As your therapist, it is my goal to work in collaboration with you to facilitate growth and empowerment, while providing you with support and direction.

With my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I have worked with all age groups and in various settings including in-home services, schools, colleges, outpatient clinics, and group homes. I have significant experience working with children who struggle with behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, Autism, and aggression. I have clinical experience working with families, adults struggling with substance use, and facilitating intensive outpatient groups.

I use an eclectic and well-rounded approach to counseling in order to work with each client in a way that fits their needs. My goal is to help individuals reach their fullest potential, while providing a safe and non-judgmental environment in which they feel comfortable creating a positive change. Some evidence-based practices I utilize in counseling include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Counseling.
