Dana Gilbert, LMSW

Therapist

Dana Gilbert is a Licensed Master Social Worker who supports children and families in school-based settings. She works with students facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, depression, trauma, and adjustment concerns. She also helps children who struggle with behavioral or emotional regulation, oppositional behaviors, perfectionism, or difficulties with friendships and social skills.

Dana’s goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where children feel seen, understood, and supported. She uses a variety of evidence-based and developmentally appropriate interventions tailored to each child’s needs, including cognitive behavioral strategies, social skills training, coping skills development, problem-solving practice, emotional regulation techniques, mindfulness activities, and play-based approaches. Her sessions often focus on helping students build self-awareness, strengthen communication skills, and practice new behaviors in a supportive environment.

She believes progress happens best when everyone works together. By collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and school staff, Dana ensures that the strategies children learn in therapy can be reinforced both at home and in the classroom.

Outside of work, Dana enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three young children, most often skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, and fishing.
